Preparing your glasshouse for winter
The training was aimed at ornamentals growers — particularly those who grow energy-intensive crops in late autumn and winter — with a focus on important energy issues to consider when setting up your nursery for the forthcoming season.
The training day programme:
The morning session introduced the subject areas, before opening discussion where attendees could put their glasshouse energy efficiency questions to the experts.
The afternoon session continued discussions during a tour of the Bordon Hill glasshouses, which took the form of an ‘energy survey’ to highlight various factors affecting glasshouse efficiency.
