Carbon dioxide enrichment from biomass boilers at last?
Exciting times could be ahead for edible crop production following the unveiling of the world’s first Carbon Capture System for the greenhouse industry.
The GC6 Green Carbon Capture System is a revolutionary new technology that allows CO2 to be captured from biomass boilers and used to enrich the climate in the greenhouse.
The first installation of the GC6 Green Carbon Capture system is running on 4 Ha of peppers in Vancouver, Canada.
This is exciting news for the GrowSave team! We’ve been following Procede BV (a partner in the Vancouver project) and their progress on getting the GC6 system live for several years, so it’s great to see it up and running. Along with the Renewable Heat Incentive, this new system could have a huge impact on the UK greenhouse industry.

The underlying generic technology used in the GC6 system was reviewed in HDC Project PE 003. Copies of the report for this project are available from HDC on request.
