Liquefied Natural Gas cargo continue to swamp UK supply
Prices have continued to fall due to decreasing carbon, oil and gas markets. In addition, the Coronavirus outbreak has led to lower demands for gas and electricity in China and this has meant that Asia bound Liquefied Natural Gas cargos are being re-directed to the UK, swamping near capacity reserves. Whilst weather forecasts and an increase in carbon still pose a risk to prices, the expectation is that March temperatures are scheduled to be near or above seasonal norms, which gives the outlook that the downward price trend could continue.
